We (my Dad, my brother-in-law, and myself) have been remodeling my Dad’s lake house cabin for the past couple years (with some additional help from many friends). We are nearing completion, finally, and after throwing away a couch that was probably in the cabin before it was even built, my brother-in-law and I decided that we needed to build him a couch.
We will have a more complete guide later, but I wanted to get the preview posted as we have with some of our other larger projects.
The main things we wanted with this couch:
- Weather resistant
- Not that expensive
- Use all Kreg tools and screws
After it was all said and done, we built an end table that will end up matching it as well. We will be sure to get that post uploaded when it is complete too.
Here are a few photos – expect the full guide to go live sometime in the next couple weeks. Subscribe to our newsletter if you would like to be notified (we will send out our monthly newsletter after that post is live).
We are in the process currently of upholstering this bad boy (it’s our first time doing upholstery so that has been pretty fun…). Obviously the below photo is oversized but it gives you an idea of where we are headed here. The below upholstery is just tacked so we could make sure we liked the fabric with the stain/paint combo we used.
